Corey A. Griffin
Chairman
Corey A. Griffin is Chairman of The Boston Company Asset Management, LLC. TBCAM manages international and domestic equity and balanced portfolios for institutional clients worldwide. The Company’s strengths include the long-term consistent application of proven investment processes, consistently high performing investment products and a corporate commitment to the asset management business.
Corey joined TBCAM in 1994 and has over 15 years experience in the investment industry. He was appointed National Director of Marketing in 1998. Corey was instrumental in the significant growth of TBCAM’s business and led the extension of its investment capabilities through new product development and the expansion of its client service model. The company focuses on the defined benefit, defined contribution sub-advisory, and managed account channels, both domestically and overseas. Corey began serving as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer in 2001, adding to his responsibilities the direction and management of operations, technology, compliance, and finance. Prior to joining TBCAM, Corey was a member of Putnam Investments institutional marketing group.
Corey holds a BA in Economics from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
David H. Cameron, CFA
President and Chief Executive Officer
Dave is President and Chief Executive Officer of The Boston Company Asset management, LLC. Dave’s previous roles at The Boston Company include Chief Investment Officer, Director of US Equities, and before that Director of Core and Growth Strategies.
Prior to his tenure at The Boston Company, Dave served as both Chief Equity Officer and Portfolio Manager at Standish Mellon Asset Management. There, his duties included the oversight of each of the firm’s domestic and international investment management teams as well as directing the setting of broad investment strategy and portfolio policy. In addition, he was a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Previous to that, Dave was a portfolio manager with BayBank Investment Management. Prior to that role, he worked as a research analyst at Arrow Bancorp.
Dave received his BA in Economics and Political Science from St. Lawrence University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.
John Truschel, CFA
Executive Vice President & Chief Investment Officer
John is the Chief Investment Officer for The Boston Company Asset Management and is on the portfolio management team for our International and Global Core Equity strategies.
John joined The Boston Company from Standish Mellon in 2003 when the Standish equity teams moved to The Boston Company. At Standish John managed the firm’s balanced accounts, chaired the firm’s Asset Allocation Committee, and as Portfolio Manager used both the International Core Equity and International Small Cap mutual funds for client portfolios. After joining The Boston Company John was the Portfolio Strategist for the International Core Equity team and was an important contributor to the team’s success over the last four years.
Prior to joining Standish Mellon, John served as Senior Analyst with The Tower Group. Previous to that he was a Product Manager at Fidelity Investments where his duties included developing asset allocation products for the intermediary marketplace. John began his career with Federated Investors.
John received his BA with a concentration in History and Religion at Westminster College. He received his MBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz Graduate School. John is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder and a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society.
Joseph P. Gennaco
Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Joe is the Chief Operating Officer for The Boston Company Asset Management, LLC, overseeing the strategic direction and management of the operations, technology, compliance, finance, and administrative functions. In addition, he is a member of the Executive Management team. Previously, Joe served as the firm's Director of Relationship Management and Client Service Support as well as co-chairman of the investment technology task force.
Joe joined The Boston Company in 2005 and has nearly twenty-six years of experience in the asset management business. Before joining The Boston Company, Joe was Director of Client Relationship Management and a worldwide partner at Mercer Human Resources, responsible for ensuring the delivery of world-class services across the firm's client base. Prior to this, he was Managing Director of Institutional Client Relationship Management at Putnam Institutional Retirement Services; his duties included maintaining and deepening executive-level relationships with the firm's largest clients and establishing and managing strategic business priorities for the organization. Joe also held a number of senior level positions at Putnam and other firms in the retirement plan marketplace.
Joe earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Economics from St. Anselm College.
Richard K. Watson, Jr.
Executive Vice President & Head of Distribution
Richard is the Head of Distribution at TBCAM overseeing Product Development, Marketing, Sales, Consultant Relations, and Relationship Management. He is responsible for the direct institutional application of those functions, as well as overseeing their application within Bank of New York Mellon Asset Management's distribution channels.
Richard, who has over 26 years of experience in the industry, joined the firm in 1990. Previous positions include:
- Director of Sales at The Boston Company, managing new product development and client service as well as business development and distribution to the defined benefit and defined contribution markets
- Vice President of Sales at Mellon Trust GSS, marketing global and domestic trust and custody services to institutional plan sponsors in the Southern US
- Assistant Vice President of Sales with State Street Bank and Trust Company, marketing asset management and trust/custody services to the Taft-Hartley marketplace across the US
Richard earned a BA in Economics from The College of the Holy Cross. In 1992, the Governor of Texas commissioned Richard as an Honorary Texan in recognition of his tireless commitment to help educate public pension fund trustees in the state of Texas. He is a past Board Member of the Texas Association of Public Employee Retirement Systems, as well as the Florida Public Pension Trustees Association.
Nicole C. Zimmerman
Director of Human Resources
Nicole is the head of Human Resources at TBCAM with responsibility for the firm’s human resource administration as well as recruiting and employee benefits activity.
Nicole, who has over 14 years of human resource experience, joined TBCAM in 2001 and in addition to her responsibilities with the firm also serves in a similar capacity for other investment subsidiaries within BNY Mellon Asset Management. Previous positions include:
- Vice President of Human Resources at Internet Venture Works, LLC
- Vice President of Internet Securities, Inc.
- Assistant Human Resources Manager at The Cross Country Group
- Human Resources Manager at Trans National Group Services International
Nicole received her BS in Business Administration from Bentley College.
